LAST-MINUTE TRAVEL INFORMATION
CARRYON LIQUIDS
Remember the regulations regarding liquids in carryon bags. These are federal rules, not Voyageurs!
If you are carrying liquids in your carryon (this includes toothpaste), they must be in a 3oz or smaller container.
Place all of your 3oz or smaller containers in ONE quart-sized zip-top bag. When going through the airports (there are two per flight day), you will place the entire bag in an x-ray bin.
*medications are not subject to the 3oz rule, and do not have to be in the zip-top bag. You do, however, have to show them to the security personnel.
Put all other liquids in your checked luggage. There is no size limit for liquids in your checked luggage.

AIRPORT SECURITY
Be prepared to make the lines go as quickly as possible. As you approach the security checkpoint, you will put your belongings in bins for scanning while you go through the metal detectors.
Place your backpack (carryon) in a bin next to your zip-top bag of liquids. You may be required to put your shoes and belts in a bin while you are scanned.
Some of us will be randomly pulled aside for further screening. Don't panic - just do what the officer asks you to do. Your staff will be alert to this and be available if you have questions.
As we clear security, we will congregate down the hall and wait for all of our folks to go through.
Do not make jokes during the security process. If you were to cause a holdup or an alert, you will not be very popular with your traveling companions. You might even face criminal prosecution.
Nothing about security is convenient, but if you think about it, won't you be more comfortable knowing everyone on our plane has gone through the same screening? Cooperate with the airport officials.

TRAVEL DOCUMENTS
Once we depart the West Memphis hotel on flight day, you must have your passport on your person AT ALL TIMES! Under no circumstances should you pack your passport in your luggage.
You will have to show your passport to check-in to the flight, to go through security, to board the plane, to clear customs (USA and England), and should always have ready access to it.
We will have frequent passport checks to ensure everyone always has theirs with them.
If you have not already invested in one, your staff STRONGLY encourages you to get in a document safe that is worn around your neck and under your shirt (or around your waist).
Your boarding pass for the plane will be handed to you at the airport during check-in. Keep it with your passport.

LAUNDRY
As we've discussed in meetings, you will want to wash some clothes during the tour. Make sure you have the supplies for this - you'll be using your hotel room sink, not a washer and dryer.
You'll need:
- Detergent
- A clothes line
- Plastic to put under your dripping clothes while drying
It can take days for your clothes to dry. When you're ready to wash, our advice is to do laundry your first night in a city so your clothes have time to dry before we leave.

June 29-30
THE PRE-TOUR CAMP WILL BE HELD AT RASH HALL AT THE MISSOURI STREET CHURCH OF CHRIST.
Check in at Rash Hall BEFORE going to the hotel.
Driving Directions: from I-40 in West Memphis, take the Missouri Street/7th Street Exit. Travel South on Missouri street past McDonald's and Exxon. The church is immediately past the Exxon on the right. Turn in to the church driveway; Rash Hall is the 2nd set of entrance doors.
Site last updated at 7:30a on Sunday, June 28. There are no plans to update the site once the tour begins, as there will be limited internet access and the folks who would normally read this will be on tour. Parents/Folks at Home: make arrangements with your traveler(s) to contact you regularly.

We will not be wearing our concert uniforms for the "Bon Voyage" Concert in West Memphis. Pack your uniforms in your checked tour luggage so they'll be ready to go in London. You WILL need your wire music stands for the Pre-Camp.
Adults who are traveling, but not performing, will have an important meeting at 4:00p on Tuesday, June 30. The meeting will be held in Rash Hall at the Church of Christ where the rehearsals are being held.
It is at this non-performers meeting that tour jackets and other travel necessities will be passed out. THE STAFF WILL NOT BE CARRYING THESE TO THE AIRPORT - THEY MUST BE PICKED UP AT THIS MEETING!!! [Performers will already have received theirs by the time of this meeting].
